3 victory over P-38 15-04-1944 over Germany

3 P-38 were shot down on this date. They belonged to yellow flight, consisting of yellow flight, Capt. Orville E. Myers, flight leader, 2nd Lt. Fred F. Kingsbury, and 2nd Lt. Edward L. Henkle

Edward L Henkle 756570 pilot POW P-38 42-104214 ( 364th Fighter Group 384th Fighter Squadron) enemy aircraft 15-04-1944 crashed Groze Holzwinde near Oldendorf 13:30 MACR 3895 15-04-1944

Orville E. Myers 659167 Pilot KIA P-38 42-67737 (364th Fighter Group 384th Fighter Squadron) enemy fighters crashed Muehorn / Totenburg-Zeven Gr MACR 3892 15-04-1944

Who could have been the victors if indeed they were shot down by enemy fighters ( that is the cause given in J-845 for Edward L Henkle)

Thanks in advance

Chris I think Hermichen may have shot down 2 of the 384th P-38s, Henkle, Myers and Kingsbury were last seen low down near Verden about 13.50; Moore was near Stade airfield N. of Rotenburg. I believe Hermichen made 2 claims.

@ buckeye30 i will come across Capt. Orville E. Myers, flight leader, 2nd Lt. Fred F. Kingsbury, If the German files also say fighter i am inclined to think the were bounced by JG 11

Interesting to know if claimants noted the position of claim.
