Re: fw190a-8 camouflage

Hi:

In Wings of the Black Cross Number 3, published by Eagle Editions and authored by myself, there is a clear photo of Red 2 with camouflaged gear doors. The photo on page 11 and further profiled on page 36 depicts an A-8 from Luftflotte 4 with what appears to be hand brushed RLM 83 over the leading edge of the wings and large portions of the gear doors.

Re: fw190a-8 camouflage

Also from Mark's work, In Number Four of the series available from Eagle Editions Ltd. on page 9, is FW 190 F-8 Yellow 2. Which is an interesting Wurger, Painted 74/75/76 with shades of 75 on the gear doors. A most interesting Bird. The great thing is a beauty of a colored profile of this can be found on page 34, With gear down for your viewing pleasure.

Kevin:

Yes, Number Five in the series is well on its way and close to being wrapped up. I am also glad to say that I have got quite a head start on Number Six lately!
