Re: Lost to Sudek13

This has already been beaten to death on this board, The man has the money and every right to outbid anyone when after a must have for his collection!
His stuff will surface in time....this you can be sure of, Human nature is to share, or profit from ones collection. And this he has every right to do!
A lock on this thread would not be a bad thing? as page after page on this subject can be found elswhere on 12 0'CLOCK HIGH!

Re: Lost to Sudek13

Ebay is a auktion site, and the highest bidder winns, very simpel, and if somebody has a special passion for something they will go far to get the items, and that is the way it is in all perspektives of life.

I would do exatly the same it i had the buget sudek is operating with.

I am only happy that we see all those nice picture set up for sale, and am happy with the copy, as I am only interested in the history the photo tells and not it value as a original photo.

Here is the photo in quistion, and after reworking it a little it can be used if I chose to write an article on BFS 4 at Kastrup/Denmark.

cheers
Jes

Re: Lost to Sudek13

This very good French tank forum...http://www.colleurs-de-plastique.com...hlight=sudek13... had exactly the same discussion, some weeks ago, about posting links to current auctions and they decided in the end to post the pics only after the auctions are finished. Why? Simply because they thought it would be more interesting this way, on an historical and editorial point of view, to see those pics at one time shared or published.

Re: Lost to Sudek13

A quick online translation of the posts on this French forum may be interesting:+++++++++++++++++++++++Just one thing, it would be possible not to post the photos a little scarce after the end of the auction? Let me explain: We had a handful spend hours and hours to find the photos and capitalize sometimes indecent amounts to preserve them in France and to publish as many benefits. By publishing the pictures on a forum before the end of the auction, it may ruin all our efforts in alerting people who will raise the bids without providing the slightest effort if it is that of having been warned ... Suddenly our resources are being correspondingly reduced and we are blowing pictures that we are not going to review ... Everyone here knows that I never objected to the publication of a photo that I won on Ebay def low and my doc is open to those in need. I understand the desire to share this kind of discovery, but try this feiner envy few days .... I promise you that the forums are consulted and that very same photos ebay can always escape the vigilance of some, especially when you do not know what it is. As the prototype of AM powerful somua recently, after the online here and Minitracks, it did not take two days for all those that I know are aware ... Competition is tough enough for not more spin their news all mâchées. For example, last week I won a new photo AM Chevrolet that nobody had reported on the forums, for a paltry sum, coincidence or not? When in doubt this is true can be the coup de abstain? Obviously that others will see this picture and big bet on it, but as long as they give themselves the trouble of searching ... I am not involved, but I think Pascal has good reason to speak as well .... And then we are not close to a week ... However, the publication of these photos after the sale is a significant contribution to the fans that we are ... So please continue+++++++++++++++++++++++

\"The man has the money and every right to outbid anyone when after a must have for his collection! \"Yes, but even in a free entreprise capitalistic world, the system has rules to avoid the constitution of cartels or monopols, you\'ve just for instance to study on this subject the beginning of the airways in the USA. Of course, what we are talking about here is not exactly the same, but anyway I\'ve never thought very clever in any situation to work oneself freely to the constitution of a monopol.

Re: Lost to Sudek13

Hi,

I'm sorry but I have to agree with John, Stephen and others. Let's stop going on and on repeating ourselves, as far as I'm concerned I don't have time to trawl eBay etc as much as I would like and it saves my time for other related things if someone else has already found things and pointed me to them. Like most others I am only interested in gleaning details from the pictures, and will only bid if it is a particularly nice picture in itself, and not for any monetary value. It's also valuable having access to live auction items as it's often the sellers other items that I find of more interest and it's not always possible to see them (pictures) after the sale end. It's people/groups like Sudek, showing that items have value, that actually encourage owners of items to keep or sell them, rather than bin them - see my earlier post.
Anyway, after having said all that, I also agree with putting a lock on the subject as we risk going 'Full Circle' time after time, after time, after ti.....ZZZZZZ

Don't make a fuss about a French forum with a score or so of members!
Not relevant.
