Arrow Mosquito ML-998

Hello ,

On december 23 1944 Mosquito ML-998 N°109 squadron was lost.The crew F/O Carpenter Eric C RCAF and F/O Lamberth William T were killed.Theu rest at the Reichswald Forest Cemetery. Does somebody knows the place of the crash

Alain,

Chorley, in Vol.5 of BCL, states that the Mosquito was shot down over the target - Koln.

Unfortunately, the exact location of the crash sites of many Bomber Command losses are not known unless the crew were initially buried in a local cemetery. The Casualty Files for each loss might have more detail but these are not available to the general public as they are still regarded as being staff-in-confidence

Claim was made in the area Koeln / Moenchen-Gladbach, don't have an exact crash location though.
