Hurricane found in Russia with Pilot
Hello,

Don't know if this has been on this site before.

Warning....some pictures may offend so dont look if easily upset, as graphic pictures of the pilot are present.

Prompts the thought - did they ever recover Sgt Smith who we lost in 1941? I don't recall a burial.

Sgt Smith was buried overlooking Veanga sound. Also buried there were the two ground crew personnel of 134Sn that were killed when they were on the tailplane and P/O Vic Berg took off.

Have no idea if they were repatriated or whether they are still buried at the military cemetery.
