airfield Marijewka as absprungplatz for JG3
Gentlemen,
Any ideas on this discrepancy: On July 10, 1942 on the second half of the day elements of JG3 started moving from Gorshetschnoje airfield to Marijewka after half a day of fierce fighting against 2 VA in Voronezh area. Marijewka, according to Prien's II/JG3 history is "an airfield about 30 km. northwest of Rossosh, near Olkhovatka" p. 139, "The airfield was located 5 km north of the town of Maryevka and 9 km northwest of Olkhovatka, Grid Square 35 East 91/3/8" p. 156. At the same time in JFV 9 III in the folded map the same airfield Marievka marked at PQ 98 3... between Rowenki and Taganrog, that is much to the south from the first location. Where is a mistake?
