Stuka Gruppen hit Italian ship Foscolo 15May40
In Coastal Commands Sam McHardy's memoirs of the 15 May 1940 flying air cover off Zeebrugge with two other 248 Sqn Blenheims. He describes seeing Stukas attacking a cargo ship six miles off Zeebrugge.
There are two cargo ships mentioned for this day as being attacked by the Luftwaffe, but only one that states the vessel was six miles off Zeebrugge - the Foscolo. Is there any corresponding material as to identify which St. G. it may have been. Best regards Andy Bird
