He111 w.nr 5477
Have two small items (luftsieb – in front of the impeller) from a Jumo211A-1 and both have a tag attached to them.
The first one is from He111H-2 w.nr 5477 with code 1B+DH, wekusta 5. In Schwedtfeger and Selinger’s book ‘Wetterflieger in der Arktis’ and the more recent book ‘Wekusta’ there is a picture of a DH at Longyearbyen, flown by Fw. Rudolf Schütze. http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k3...be/Lader_2.jpg Second one have no positive id, but 5555 could be the w.nr of the plane – most probable also a He111. http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k3...be/Lader_1.jpg Both items was ‘liberated’ after the war from Fl.Pl. Drontheim-Vaernes. Does anyone have more on the history of these two planes? Regards A. Berg
