Ray,

A little correction: an F-5B was the photo reconnaissance version of a P-38 and not a P-51 (must be a typo on the nimh.nl website..!).
Even so, Capt Cassaday was KIA and is now buried at Margraten. He was from Iowa.
That same day another F-5B was lost at neighboring Eindhoven, 42-12981.
