Typhoon wheel?
Can anybody help in identifying this wheel? It resembles a Typhoon wheel, however when comparing with a period picture at the bottom, there are some subtle differences..
not sure how best to post pictures to this forum (given the size of the JPG) so hope the following works: ![]() ![]() Allegedly, the wheel came from a Typhoon which crashed in the vicinity of Barneveld (Netherlands), possibly the crash of 183 squadron PD516 (HF-?), flown by F/O Hollingworth. I am trying to ascertain if that could be the case I have identified some ( barely readable) numbers on the rim and if usefull can post them here as well thanks in advance!
