Hello Alex!
Thank you very much for your reply. However i was under the impression that the airfield was bombed by the british or americans. The reason is that the german airman i was referring to is an Ofw. Josef Hausner, a member of TG 4, who was reported missing "..nach Bombenabwurf in Flugplatz Pratica di mare." I thought the Transportgeschwader was stationed there at the time of the attack. Am i totally wrong in my beliefs? I have attached a picture of him, where you can see the date of his death/went missing. Thanks in advance again. Christian
