Claim over Bougainville 2nd Sept 1944
Hi,
In the Newsletter 40 of The 30 Squadron and Servicing Unit RNZAF there is a “Record of specified dates 30 Squadron/30SU” http://www.cambridgeairforce.org.nz/...ers2004.htm#40. According to this a “Japanese Float plane was shot down over Bougainville” 2nd September 1944. Can anyone confirm which unit claimed this float plane? As far as I know it must be a USN or USMC-unit. RNZAF made their last claim in February 1944 and 13th AF made their last claim in this area during March 1944. Thanks in advance Peter Hasselgren
