German ace Heinz Baer - 15 August 1940?
Heinz Baer, the German ace, was highly active during the Battle of Britain, claiming a number of victories and being rescued twice from the Channel.
Did Baer fly on 15 August, “Eagle Day”? Could anyone with access to German-language sources on Baer please check and see if they mention 15 August? There is no explicit reference in English-language sources to him flying on that day. He did not claim any victories. Thanks, David Isby
