Larry,
I just noticed your entry -- '24.07.44 in 11./JG54'. I think this date is incorrect, but the unit is correct. Based on the loss date, we know Oblt Steinat was with 6 Staffel II./ZG76 in Jan 1945 when he was injured, and since this Gruppe became III./JG54 in Feb 1945, he probably returned to his old unit upon recovery: 6./ZG76 --> 11./JG54. rgds andre
