Hi,
a friend of mine did some research about the crash of Lancaster NN 722 of 9th Sqn the 14.01.1945. He is looking for a picture of Cook's Crew and a combat report of 9. Sqn for the 14.01.1945. Target: Leuna. Info: F/O Kenneth Alan Cook RAAF from North Ballarat, Victoria, Australia, was the pilot of Lancaster NN 722, WS-Z or WS-Q, 9. Sqn. On 14. January 1945 Cook's Lanc crashed an a mountain (1000 m) in Bavaria near Czechoslovakia. Six crew members are buried in Choloy War Cemetery, one in Berlin. Thanks for help and best regards from bavaria Lino |
