V1 Transport dollies.
Hi, first of all thank you for allowing me to join this fabulous forum, which will allow me to broaden my knowledge.
I'm a keen modeller of all things Luftwaffe and I'm at present building a V1 which comes with a transport dolly such as the ones shown here, http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi..._vor_Start.jpg http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:A...QDx32WnTkNKkYA Does anyone know what these were made out of? My first thoughts were steel but I'm now thinking that timber may have been a possibility. I'd like to know as it will help when I come to weather the model. Obviously if timber was used it would be wrong to add any rusting! Regards, Tim. |
