Finding service history for Luftwaffe serviceman

Hello

I am trying to find the service history of a relative that has now sadly passed away.

We believe he was shot down over the UK and possibly ended up as POW in the US first?? Then in Boughton Park POW Camp in Northamptonshire, UK. Does this sound right.

Can anyone help with where to look, I have tried the web, but the sites I've come across are in German and I don't speak German.

Any help much appreciated.
