Seafire claims
I have some claims for FAA Seafires that I wonder if anyone can match up to a known Luftwaffe loss:
22 Aug 44 North cape 2 Bv 138 destroyed 894 Sqn Indefatigable 10 Nov 42 off Oran 1 Ju 88 damaged 884 Sqn Victorious note there is a picture from a gun camera film of this aircraft in the book Send her Victorious show smoke trailing from its starboard engine. The Ju 88 could be from a recon unit or possibly Wekusta 26 15 Oct 44 near Athens Greece 1 Ju 88 destroyed 809 Sqn Stalker the book "Seafire the Spitfire that went to Sea' has a picture from a film of the plane going down. it could belong to a recon unit or possibly Wekusta 27. 17 oct 44 Volos Do 24 destroyed seen to crash in the water in flames 809 Sqn Stalker
