He 111 coded "2L"
Hello,
I have a photo of an early He 111 (probably a B model) coded 2L+B32. This code would mean that it belonged to LG 2. But it seems there is some kind of mix up with the last two digits of its code. "2" meant II. Gruppe and "3" 3. Staffel - however, the 3. Staffel was usually attached to I. Gruppe! Moreover, AFAIK no He 111 were ever handed over to LG 2 [what about III.(Aufkl.)/LG 2?]. Can aynone help me? Thanks in advance. Chris
