9./NJG 3
Hi,
According to the same sources, Balss/Scherzer, I found some names with a different spelling: 1. On the night of 11/12 may 1944 a Ogefr. Rudi Lehmbach/Lehnbach was KIA together with his pilot and gunner when their a/c crashed near Stade. 2. On the night of 8/9 december 1941 the staffel lost two Bf 110. But there seames a mixing up of the crews: Balss says: Uffz Arngrim Uffz Kunze Ogefr. Boel as the first and Oblt. Hautt and Uffz. Kunze in the second. What is strange as Uffz. Kunze Walter can’t be in two machines at the same time, unless we are talking about 2 different Uffz. Kunze! Scherzer says: Uffz. Arngrim and Ogefr. Pöll in the first and Oblt. Hautt and Uffz. Kunze in the second. additionally he writes that Kunze is also a pilot. That could be possible as both were on a training flight. Perhaps someone has more information On the circumstances of what was the correct crew composition and their function on board of the a/c. Kind regards, Dirk |
