Re: 'Yellow 16' recovered today
We belive that the mickey Mouse was a Staffel Emblem of 12./JG 5 in 1943.
12./JG 5 become 15./JG 5 late in 1944 and moved to Sola and later to Lister. (A new 12./JG 5 was formed). The emblem is not seen at all at Herdla after late 1944, so it was probaly used now by 15./JG 5. As far as we know only Lw personell from Herdla was prisoners at Boemoen (Voss). So why do we find this emblem at Boemoen. Was also 15./JG 5 pilots at this place. Anyone know more Olve Dybvig
