May I kindly add that document speaks of a 'bomber'. Somehow report puts the incident on 14 April 1944 elsewhere with note '32743 g' which I think is a reference to or coordinate for neighboring town of Zedelgem.

At first glance no known Mosquito, A-20 or B-26 loss in area when it comes to first types to think of.
