Franz Eckerle 01Jan42?
On 01Jan42 Franz Eckerle Stab I/JG54 shot down two I-16's at 10:35 and 10:42 but doesn't have a location on Tony Wood's List.
www.allaces.ru has 01Jan42 11:35 AE Military Commissar Sergei Naumovich Dmitrievskii of the 13 IAP VMF/KBF being shot down in his I-16 on the Ladoga road "Kabona region" by a Bf-109. Efim Ivanovich Dmitriev was shot down in his I-16 shortly afterwards. Both pilots were KIA. The Russian and German times match. Does anyone have the loaction for Eckerle's claims? Thanks, Michael
