Hello Neil,
I would suggest the book Aircraft of the Luftwaffe Fighter Aces by Bernd Barbas, vol.1. There are a lot of photos of Ihlefeld, but unfortunately not of his own aircraft by the time he shot your father. You can see some good pictures of Ihlefeld at "La Luftwaffe ataque à L´Ouest" by French Editions Heimdal. He is climbing aboard a LG 2 machine and there is a caption of himself and a RAF Sergeant he shot down in front of the Spitfire. Those are the only good photos I do remember seeing on books.
