Whats the law on....

Hello everyone, I am new to this forum and discovered it whilst doing some research. I am glad I did as I have just spent the last 3 hours reading some very interesting and informative articles.....

I would like to ask a question though and hope someone can help me. I would like to know a rough outline of the laws regarding the excavation of RAF aircraft that were shot down and crashed over/on French siol during the second world war. I know it is a bit of a big ask, but if anyone has any docs or links that I would find useful that would be great. The sort of thing I need to know is who owns the aircraft now as they lie in the ground, who would own them if they were dug up and the same for aircrew remains/belongings etc if any were found.

Any help you can give would be fantastic.
