Hi:

In Wings of the Black Cross Number 3, published by Eagle Editions and authored by myself, there is a clear photo of Red 2 with camouflaged gear doors. The photo on page 11 and further profiled on page 36 depicts an A-8 from Luftflotte 4 with what appears to be hand brushed RLM 83 over the leading edge of the wings and large portions of the gear doors.
