He 111 crash of KG 4
Hi gents,
please find attached a picture from my collection of a crashlanded He 111 of KG 4. On the back you can see names (and ranks or functions ?) From top to bottom, I think it says : 1. Zeller 2. Kuhhorn 3. Schl... 4. M... 5. Leutnant (= lieutenant) 6. M... 7. Henzel or Heuzel 8. Schutze (= gunner) 9. Bischof Can anybody tell me more about the date, place and circumstances of the crash? Can anybody make out the proper crew names, and what became of them? I think that at least one crewmember died in the crash since you can see a improvised wooden cross in the front of the aircraft.
