Who shot down Lt. Canner July 14, 1944
Hi All,
On July 14, 1944 Lt. Stanley Canner, my father, was flying a Mustang and was shot down over occupied France at 1917h. There are two German claims for that time, Ihlefeld (south of Caen) and Grislawski (Falaise area.) Since the Falaise area is south of Caen, I am unsure which one shot him down. Does anyone have or know where I might locate mission reports from Ihlefeld's and /or Grislawski's groups for that day. Thank you, Neil |
