Canadian Documents

hello

i have adopted an grave from an American Soldier who was shot down on 4 feb 1943
the family of this men told me that he he was first in the Canadian Airfoce before he he was transferd to the USAAF in 1942
is there an way to find out in wich unit he was and if he did have fly missions on an bomber
