Ju88 from 10./NJG3 lost on 11/4/44
Gentlemen,
I am looking for any info possible on a Ju88 night fighter from 10./NJG3 which got lost on 11 April 1944 near Bärwalde. Crew was consisting of Fritz Wilkening, Walter Oswald and Kurt Hohberger. I have the info that this a/c undertook a daytime missions against US heavies in the Berlin area that day. My source states that this Ju88 took off from Welzow (near Cottbus), but this is hard to believe as 10./NJG3 was based in Denmark during most of 1944. So is there any additional info on this loss - Werknummer, tactical markings, home base? Cheers, Christian |
