Unknown B-17 crash

The attached photo shows the remains of a B-17 which crashed in the southern part of the Netherlands in the fall of 1944 at an unknown date!
There are rumours that the crew baled out to safety and landed in friendly territory.
Within the red circle may be parts of the squadron code. Is there anybody on the forum who can give me a hint? All info is most welcome.
The photo was taken during the summer of 1945.
Tia,
Paul
