About Weissenberger, I think sometimes his claims against VVS was not so reliable. For example:
4.7.1943: 3 DB-3f, 2 Hampdens (9 BAP) and 2 Il-2 (46 ShAP VVS SF) attacked a German convoy near Kirkenes. In following air combat with 7. and 8./JG5 the group was almost totally eliminated - 5 aircrafts were shot down (1 DB-3, 2 Hampdens, 2 Il-2). But the pilots of JG5 claimed 19 (!) Soviet aircrafts had been destroyed (21:53-22:12), including 5 Il-2, 7 Hampdens and 5 Pe-2. Weissenberger alone claimed six (3 Il-2 and 3 Hampdens) but don't forget about Jacob Norz, Franz Doerr, Arthur Beth and many others... The claim made by Weissenberger at 21:07 (Pe-2, 37 Ost/2177) is reliable though - he shot down Pe-3 from 118 RAP VVS SF.
