Re: Tempest wheel
I'm no expert on aircraft wheels but the mystery wheel does seem to resemble those fitted to all marks of Tempest (bar most of the JN serial batch which had Typhoon-style 5-spoke wheels). The attached photo shows the wheels of a late production Tempest V in Germany, late 1945.
