Interesting... did British industry manufacture several types of wheel and rubbers and then just use it on the various type of airplane or every type of airplane have its own wheels or rubber?

An Oxford??
As we say in Dutch, "Now breaks my wooden shoe!"I am not aware of any Oxford or Consul crashes in the region, but i will certainly investigate that! The Dutch airforce ( and the Navy) did operate the Airspeed Oxford from 1945 - 1952, and so this could be a peacetime loss I will also double check the serialnumber on the rim! |
