Translation of Luftschraubenverstellung needed
Hi all,
I have found Luftschraubenverstellung listed in a German book as the cause of a crash. Google translates it as "pitch control". Can anyone confirm it ? Thanks you |

Re: Translation of Luftschraubenverstellung needed
Thanks Nick,
By the way, your dictionary is interesting me. A quick search on Google Books found one such English-German, edited by the US War Department in 1941 (and another edited in 1837, but I guess no aircraft terms may be found on that one ).Can you give the ISBN and other details of your dictionnary ? Thanks in advance Laurent |

Re: Translation of Luftschraubenverstellung needed
Mine is a facsimile of a 1944 US War Department publication.
German Military DictionaryI've had it for over 20 years, so I doubt if it's still in print. |

Re: Translation of Luftschraubenverstellung needed
There are more than a few different ones. I've stumbled across mine in second hand bookshops relatively cheaply.
HMSO London put out a nice booklet 'Vocabulary of German Military Terms and Abbreviations'. I have a copy of the 1942 revision. Not sure if later ones are available. I also have acopy of a book 'English-German German-English Military Dictionary' by L Von Carstenn published by George G Harrap & Company. I'm not sure when it was first published but I have a copy of the 1941 reprint. TM 30-355 is the 1941 edition but there is a 1944 edition the TM 30-506 wich can be found on the net also for free. I could upload it to this board if its ok with the mods etc. ( one can use the pdf search fuction in this one and is a download -->> about 25 mb )
