(DOB: 11.10.17). 01.12.41 promo to Oblt. 16.02.42 Oblt., awarded the Ehrenpokal. 08.09.42 Oblt., awarded DKG, 1.(F)/Aufkl.Gr. 120. 01.44 Hptm., appt Staka 2.(F)/Aufkl.Gr. 123. 01.06.44 in 2.(F)/Aufkl.Gr. 123, promo to Hptm. 04.09.44 Hptm. and Staka 2.(F)/Aufkl.Gr. 123, MIA – in Ju 88 shot down near Alexandria/Egypt during a recce mission. The Kracker Archive has: Weixelbaum, Helmut. - Hptm., 1(F)/120, 2(F)/123 Ju 88D-1 Werk # 430231 "4U + KK" (lost 9/5/44) DK-G(9/8/42), EK 1 & 2, Observer Operational Clasp, KIA 4/5 September, 1944, no further detail.
