On 10.Nov 1942 Hptm. A. Bier with BF Uffz. Hermann Bitrich both 2. Staffel ZG 1 emergency landed due to engine failure at Srowdnje with Bf 110 E-1 S9+IK W.Nr.3436
Bier was WIA. He was Staka 2. staffel. At Stab I. ZG 1 form July 1943 - 13.Oct.1943 GK of Ergänzungszerstörergruppe (Braunschweig) from Feb 1944 to Apr 1944? hope it helps a bit

Hello John
My interest is simply because I recently acquired quite a large document grouping to a Bordfunker who served in ZG1 and ZG26, and the document for the Silber Front-Flug-Spange is signed by Bier. I hope to find a picture of him from somewhere purely to use in the document display when the group is fully researched, as with all signed documents in my collection. Regards Richard.
