According to the EoE loss DB: "May 22, 1940: 8./LG1 Junkers Ju88A-1 (4003). 8./LG1 Junkers Ju88A-1. Starboard engine destroyed by Spitfires during attack on the tanker Clairy west of Boulogne, belly-landed and burned out near Montreuil. Probably that claimed by P/O Smart and F/Sgt Franklin of No. 65 Squadron off Calais 2.00 p.m. BS Gefr Günther Glogger killed. FF Oberlt Theodor Hagen, BO Oberfw Reinhold Britting, and BF Uffz Helmut Döring unhurt - later returned. Aircraft L1+FS 100% write-off." Regards,
