Question about 1940 Bf109E Stkz CA+EC
Hello,
I'm trying to determine if the Stkz CA+EC translates into a W.Nr., and if so, what it would be. This should be on a Bf109E-4. If there is no record of this particular number, can anyone tell me the WNr block for "CA"- marked Bf109s that would have been manufactured in 1940? Thanks for any assistance. Re: Question about 1940 Bf109E Stkz CA+EC
I have a hypothetic block WNr 6480 CA+CA to WNr 6500 CA+CU, but only one certain StKz WNr 6483 CA+CD, but a E-7.
Misinterpretations might have happened within block 5104 CA+OA to 5129 CA+OZ as E-3 CA+OE with many re-builts as E-4 and E-7 as well as within block 1461 CA+QA to 1479 CA+QS as E-3 CA+QE, but almost completely listed as E-4 and rebuilt to E-7 standards Servus Roland Last edited by RolandF; 10th October 2012 at 14:40. Re: Question about 1940 Bf109E Stkz CA+EC
Larry:
It would be very helpful if you would post the photograph or documentary source for the Bf 109 SKZ in which you you are interested. Indeed, it may be essential for reader/researchers to see the evidence that you have in hand, not out of skepticism but in order to evaluate several aircraft identification factors that can only be seen in the original source(s). Re: Question about 1940 Bf109E Stkz CA+EC
Larry,
for CA+EA to Y I have Ju88A-1 starting with WNr. 6007, the last plane in this block CA+EZ was a Praga E.39 (confirmed by several Flugbuch entries). It would nice to see the photo.

Jim & Merlin,
The plane in question was with Stab JG51 and was a Bf109E-4 or E-7 circa 9.40. Regards, Larry Hickey EoE Project Coordinator |

Thanks Peter, this pushes the hypothetic Bf 109 CA+C? block into the nirvana und puts a big question mark behind CA+CD.

Re: Question about 1940 Bf109E Stkz CA+EC
Hi, all
This seems to put the CA + C? series Stkz into a series given to the different aircraft of an existing unit. It is thus not entirely impossible that CA + CE could be a Bf 109E, it is just not a Stkz issued at production, but rather to an aircraft at a given place and unit when the Stkz was issued. Regards, Andreas B

Re: Question about 1940 Bf109E Stkz CA+EC
Hi,
Didn't Larry ask for CA+EC, NOT CA+CE? ... But One CA+CD in JG 110, Februar 1944. E-7, 6483 given in Bert's site. CA+E. batch documented in same site as told by Merlin. Hence Anton is right asking for picture evidence... Regards, Franck. |
