Hello,
Having another question about the same pilot, I rather ressurect this thread rather than creating a new one. The German loss list is giving the loss location as "Jan-Jedrowo", east of lake Ilmen. Could this be Yedrovo, Valdayskiy rayon, Novgorodskaya Oblast ? http://www.maplandia.com/russia/novg...rayon/yedrovo/ It is the only location I could find in the JG 54 area, but it seems a little too far east for me, until Malapert was really flying a raid on Soviet far rear area.
