Hi Sparviero

Many thanks indeed.

I believe some if not all of the crew of the 191 Squadriglia/86 Gruppo machine were taken prisoner - would their names not be known?

Cheers
Brian

Hi Brian,
the crew was probably taken prisoner (from Malizia report in his book " LA REGIA AERONAUTICA NELLA 2^ GUERRA MONDIALE- Dai diari di guerra 1940-1942, IBN- Roma, 2013) but I just do not know their.
cordiali saluti

Hi Antonio

Thanks for the update.

Whilst you're here, are you able to provide any information on a 47 Stormo Z.1007 shot down on 22 February 1941?

Any detail will be much appreciated.

Cheers
Brian

Re: Z.506B shoot downs 1940/41

Hi Brian,
other research of the crew Cant z 506 show down 22.2.1941: ten.pil. Alberto Alberti (KIA) serg.pil. Vincenzo Casiello, aviere scelto Gambino, 1° aviere Pupino (KIA), aviere Morra and aviere allievo Cutrone.

Cant Z. 1007 bis shot down 22 February: I know that on 22 February 1941, a Cant Z. 1007 bis fell into the sea 10 miles west island Antipaxo while returning from a mission on PREVESA

would be shot down by two Blenheims of 30 Squadron ( flt/lt Dwerek Walker and flg/off "Bud"Richardson , from Italian relations would be hit by a/c ( report from book's Nicola Malizia)
saluti

Re: Z.506B shoot downs 1940/41

Accoding to the book "Gli attuali Reparti A.M. della Aviazione per la Marina" published in 1972 by the Ufficio Storico of the It. A.F., the aircraft that didn't come back on 23 february from an offensive reconnaissance mission over Navarrino- Zante- Cefalonia-Prevesa-Parga-Corfù- P. Edda - Porto Palermo belonged to 190a Sq.
Crewmembers were those ones indicated by Antonio.
