Rob,
15946 was lost on 30.1.1944 with 7./JG 1. The "weisse 15" was flown by Fw. Max Finsterwald who was killed in the crash near Bornebroek (NL). Wreck was recovered by Museum Twente on Nov. 1st, 1980. John.

Yes, info comes from NVM. Fw. Finsterwald was reported missing in Raum GN-GO, GP-HQ. His body was recovered after a few weeks and buried at Enschede Ehrenfriedhof on Feb, 16, 1944.
