Captured JG 301 Fw 190 photo

Hi all,

I just came across these photos of a JG 301 Fw 190 and a Bf 109 that were new to me. Anything known about these?

Hmmm,

The Chinese censorship doesn't like words like: "Blog", "Facebook" ... and, it seems, "WordPress" in links' adress. Hence the page is not opening for me.
... And I do not intend to pay for a VPN!

Can you put the photos in attachment please? Thanks

Regards, Franck.

I don’t think they are new. There is a colour photograph of the Fw190 known. http://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php?topic=5118.12
I think I saw the Me109G in “Broken Eagles”. I’m at work now so can’t check this.

How does it look on Flickr, Franck?

Bf 109 G-10 W.Nr. 152 043 "Weisse 57", unit unknown, Salzwedel, May 1945. Source: collection John Raisler, 111th Ordnance Company, http://wwiitracings.files.wordpress.com via LEMB Forum. Dennis is correct: two pics are published in Hildebrandt, (C.) 1988: Bf 109 G/K Part I, Broken Eagles 2, Title page and p. 17.

As for the 190, here we go: Fw 190 A-8 W.Nr. illegible "Gelbe 8", 6./JG 301, Salzwedel, 8 May 1945. From left to right: Cliffie Graham, John Andrews and E de la Garza, 111th Ordnance Company. Roger: thanks for finding those.

Cheers
Marc

Re: Captured JG 301 Fw 190 photo

In Carl Hildebrandt's "Broken Eagles 2" (Fighter Pictorials, 1988), this machine is on the cover (in the shot posted here). On page 17 it's seen in more of a side view and the Werk Nummer is reasonably legible. I make it 152043 or maybe 132043. On the page the "dots" of the printing defeat any attempt at magnification and it comes out differently with different scanner settings but it would be quite clear on the original print, I'm sure.

Doubtless someone will have a better idea than me what Werk Nummer series are possible for this particular Bf 109 — is that a shrouded exhaust?
