Mystery Item Fin

Hi Guys,

Another Mystery waiting to be solved. Does anyone have any idea what this is from or was used for. Believed WW2 Luftwaffe?
Two theories are it could be an aerial mine bolt on fin or Fallschirmjaeger/Paratroopers Drop canister fin?

Your thoughts would be appreciated. Please see the attached photos.
