Hi all

On february 19, 1945 a recon Ju 88 checking situation over the Sudwind operation frontline near river Gran, north of river Danube, in Slovakia was attacked and shot down by soviet fighters, guard. older leutenant Solujan of 85.GIAP.
Can anyone helpt to identify this ju 88? The piece of main wheel tyre was found in the area, so the crash is confirmed. Just to identify it...
Thanks a lot to anyone who can help.

Re: ju 88 loss on

Only one Ju 188 known damaged, 2.(F)/100, Luftflotte 6 East, belly landed (20%) no location given 19.02.1945

2.(F)/100 bases were ( http://www.ww2.dk/air/recon/aufkl100.htm )

Radom, 18.7.44 - 27.7.44
Stubendorf, 27.7.44 - 12.44
Sprottau, 12.44 - 10.2.45
Alt-Lönnewitz, 10.2.45 - 5.45

Re: ju 88 loss on

Hi Ed,
thank you, but I suppose that the base is located too far from the place of crash, which is about 750 km.
Any other tips for the ju88 identity?

Thanks

Peter
