Yard jpg B-24 # 36 has the emblem of the 512 Sq. of the Royal Yugoslav Air Force. It's possible these aircraft are being returned to the US after hostilities.

First thought re YARD photo was Davis-Monthan Army Air Field at Tuscon/Arizona where the so-called "Boneyard" was established right after the war. At least 20 Bombardment Groups (Heavy) were trained here during the war, all or most of them equipped with B-24s. But reading further, the first aircraft sent to the D-M "Boneyard" in 1946 were B-29s and C-47s, so the photo is either a different place or the photo was taken at some date later than 1948-49.
