Re: Luftwaffe planes that accidently landed on the Allied side
The Ju88 was a defector, and flew (as I understand it) to Egypt. It is the one now in the US.
I suspect that there were rather fewer opportunities for confusion/deliberate deception leading to accidental landings outside of the UK. The most notable case I recall is the unit of Italian Ju87s that ran short of fuel and landed behind British lines in the desert. |
