Re: Ju88 attack July 1942 New Mills, Hatfield, Chatsworth House
2./106, Ju 88 A-4, Wk Nr 140017 coded M2+KK. Hptm Hans Bergemann, Ogefr Bernhard Müller, Uffz Ernst Fahning & Uffz Johann Fickenwirth all POW. Crashed Odlings Farm, Aswardby 2030 hrs.
2./106 Ju 88 A-4, 140016, M2+BK. Fw Heinz Majer, Ogefr Horst Wyborny, Uffz Karl Schachtschneider, Uffz Theobald Frank all killed. Crashed Limes Farm, Baumber 2025 hrs. Both were shot down by 303 Sqn-I have photos of 2 of the pilots with a Iron Cross taken from one of those killed plus photos of the tail of the first ac and a photo of Bergemann. Target was stated as the de Havilland factory at Horwich Last edited by Chris Goss; 9th April 2018 at 21:41.
