FW.190 night fighter loss, June 12/13 1944, Rouen
Hello
On the night of June 12/13 1944, Halifax LK850 of 158 Squadron claimed an FW.190 near Rouen. The 158 Sqn. O.R.B. Form 541 has the following: At 01.38 hrs, 4940N 0225E height 8,000 on homeward trip Me-109 fired and R/G replied. No claim. At 01.56 hrs 4935N 0105E 7,000 ft. homeward saw red flare and then 2 FW.190 on port beam below. M/U/G gave 2 20-sec. bursts and saw one FW.190 burst into flames and go down. Confirmed by B/A and R/G and claimed destroyed. Is it possible there is an ID for this FW.190 the Halifax claimed? Many thanks, Regards Simon
