Re: Unknown bomber crash
In my (very incomplete) notes I have found two Fw 190 in that area on that date:
One piloted by Fw Richard Heinz of 7./SG4 and one by Fw Rudolf Fye of 9./SG4. Furthermore I have a Ogfr Herbert Richter in a Do 17 of 2.(F)/123 down near Fosse-la-Ville Mai 12th 1940. Nothing on Stadtmann.

Re: Unknown bomber crash
Hi,
In a rather old note (info received before 2000) is mentioned that J.Wieseler died at Opgrimbie and is buried as unknown at the German War Cemetery at Lommel. It is possible that he was the Bordfunker of Ju88G-1 w/nr. 714393 of 5./NJG3 which went missing during the night of 26-27/12/1944. The pilot (Jakob Granderath – buried as unknown at Lommel) and the two other crewmembers (Hans Ziegler – buried as unknown at Lommel - and Emil Piontek) are also still missing. No info found regarding Stadmann and Richter. Best regards Luc |
